Conversion of existing retail building into offices for SARS

The reconstruction of the old Unie Winkels building into new offices for SARS comprised substantial demolition work, reconstruction, alterations and new additions. Modern lighting, an impressive entrance area, escalators and use of skylights has brought life back to this old run down building.

The biggest challenge on this project was the client’s requirement that the first phase, the office component, had to be ready for occupation within 3 months from the start of the project. The NMC team achieved this target, a feat most said could not be done.
