NMC hosted a farewell cocktail function in honour of Milase Mzamo at the Radisson Hotel on Thursday, 5 March 2009.

Milase joined NMC in March 2004 as executive director filling the portfolio of marketing director. Her passion for people, determination and innovative thinking has positioned NMC as one of South Africa’s leading construction brands. In her farewell address she singled out the highlight of her career at NMC as being her ability to convert hard site people into streetwise marketing people who understand the value of the NMC brand.

Milase remains on the NMC board as a non-executive director, whilst heading up Imfihlakalo an asset management company focusing on logistics, major infrastructure and property. There is a lot of synergy between NMC and Imfihlakalo which opens up many opportunities for both companies.

Despite the sweltering heat the function was enjoyed by all who attended.
