New student residences for University of Cape Town

Construction of the new UCT residences commenced in February 2010 with demolitions and civils to existing site. The 7 floor facility provides for; 878 ensuite rooms, 92 general kitchen areas, storerooms and 4 warden units. The 1st floor provides for a function venue with catering and ablutions amenities. The ground floor level includes a 960m² lettable retail area, reception, computer and meeting rooms, ablutions and utility rooms and parking bays. The basement extends over the full site providing parking bays, plant rooms and stores.
