OUR STORY

The NMC Construction Group has an exciting history dating back to 1983, when Neil Muller founded the business. Within less than a decade our business transformed itself from a niche Western Cape based industrial contractor into a multi-disciplinary construction group with a national footprint. Despite the many changes throughout the years we have maintained our heritage of building trust.

In 2004 we embraced a black-women entity through a BBBEE agreement with F’Stars, the partnership changed our  leadership and shareholding structure aligning it to the country’s transformational objectives. This set the tone for our growth trajectory which has opened new growth opportunities for both the business and our people.

In line with our commitment to continued transformation our business is constantly evolving and we are now 51% black-owned following the recent acquisition of a majority stake in the NMC Group by Mr Phila Jordan.

We attribute our ability to broaden our product offering and market space in such a period of time to the calibre of our people who share in our culture of excellence and trust.

Key strategic drivers which changed our competitive landscape include: –

  • diversification of our building portfolio to include new market sectors
  • spreading our geographic footprint nationally and into Namibia
  • acquisitions to broaden our product offering to include civils and asphalt products
  • building our delivery capacity through an ongoing investment in our people and strategic recruitment

We have blended our shared history, capabilities and strengths into a consolidated and more streamlined business structure. As the NMC Construction Group, we are better positioned to optimise our critical mass and brand exposure.
