Empowerment

In June 2008 NMC and Brink and Heath sealed an acquisition merger, incorporating Brink & Heath into the NMC Construction Group of Companies, giving Brink & Heath a good empowerment positioning.

Brink & Heath has a Level 3 rating on the Charter Scorecard, with 26% equity in black hands.

Its BBBEE comprises of the NMC Group’s own BBBEE component through Milase Mzamo’s F’Star Investments, a black woman owned company, BBBEE company Exelms’ stakeholding in Brink & Heath and Mokwena Surfacing a Brink & Heath subsidiary.

Transformation is an integral part of the Brink & Heath culture, enjoying the full support of its leadership. Here in particular, Brink & Heath plays a relevant role in local enterprise and community development through; on site-skills training programmes, leadership development, contractor mentoring and sponsorship of community projects such as the Carnavon Clinic upgrade, Go For Gold and Velokhaya BMX track in Khayelitsha.
