NMC’s CSI policy is driven by the company’s values of Trust, Balance, Relationship, Pride and Ubuntu.
Trust – creating a platform of trust between NMC and the beneficiaries.
Balance – creating a balance between giving and teaching the recipients the skill to design their own future.
Relationship – building long term relationships with the beneficiaries and to build loyalty to the NMC brand by association to good corporate citizenship.
Pride – building a sense of pride in our own people as they participate in giving activities.
Ubuntu – by knowing that we are successful because the communities and our people allows us to be, we intend giving back to these stakeholders what they have given to us.
Focus Areas – Whilst every effort will be undertaken in focusing on areas identified, NMC will endeavour to review each and every proposal that may seek to meet the criteria stated above when deciding on funding.
Education – We are investing in our future thus we want to ensure that we support the promotion of educated and decision making citizens that will spearhead the growth of our country.
Health – We recognise that unless we have healthy workers, our ability to sustain our growth is threatened therefore we will support activities, institutions and organisation that work to improve our health care system especially for the disadvantaged communities.
Sustainable development – In line with the teaching people how to fish parable, NMC will promote organisations or activities that directly benefit the recipients in teaching skills to make them sustainable and self sufficient.
