NMC’s Next is the company’s customised leadership programme. Since its inception in 2008 it has put 37 candidates through this intense two year programme.
Applications for this programme are open to all NMC employees, with the only selection criteria being the applicant’s belief in him or herself to be one of the company’s great leaders. The quality and diversity of both the 2007 and 2008 participants is evidence of the quality of its employee resource.
All participants had varying expectations of the programme, but the underlying message is that the programme has exposed them to an environment of working under immense pressure calling for discipline, the ability to effectively function in a team context and a willingness to focus inwardly for introspection.
